Nowadays it seems like so many candles are described as eco-friendly. But what does eco-friendly home fragrance mean?
We can't speak for other companies, but for us, it is so much more than simply the vegetable wax we select for our candles. To us it means:
Using sustainable ingredients which are vegan and cruelty free;
Ensuring our packaging is fully recyclable or biodegradable, but also reusable and minimal. That means no excessive presentation packaging or unnecessary waste;
Encouraging reuse of our materials including offering exceptional value refill services;
Offering value 'bundles' to encourage larger less frequent postal orders;
Being aware of, and proactively trying to reduce, our environmental impact in all that we do.
Our ingredients
We use a variety of waxes in our candles and melts, and select wax which is free from palm oil and which is vegan. Indeed all of our ingredients are vegan and cruelty free. For those looking for a truly 'natural' candle, our Essential Collection range is scented only with essential oils and contain no synthetic chemicals or additives.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
All of our materials are selected with their environmental impact in mind. For us it isn't enough to simply say that our packaging is recylable. We avoid the use of unnecessary materials or excessive packaging, and wherever possible we select packaging which can be reused. And we encourage reuse, with excellent value refill services for our tin candles and for our diffusers.

The decisions we make for our business are balanced against their environmental impact, including carbon footprint. We know that candles and home fragrance are a luxury item, but we firmly believe that simple pleasures have an important part to play in life. For us it is about offering this in as responsible a way as possible, without compromising on quality. We believe in producing beautiful products at an accessible price point and with minimal waste.
